Marie C. Coley

Marie Coley, age 99, of Antigo, died Wednesday, December 20 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital. Marie was born September 11, 1918 in Leola, SD to the late Ernest Otto and Margaret (Kempf) Thielitz. On May 22, 1943, she was united in marriage to Merl Coley. Her preceded her in death in 1980. Mrs. Coley was a homemaker. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. She enjoyed being outside and spending time at the family cabin. She loved holiday time. Survivors include 2 daughters, Jean (Dennis) Peterson of Blue River, WI, Ann (Ray) Monson of Antigo; a son Ernest (Sharon) of Franklin, TN; 9 grandchildren, Connie Kabacanski of De Pere, Jackie (Andy) Boyd of Antigo, Ernest, Jr. (Betsy) Coley of Spring Hill, TN, Reed (Rebecca) Coley of Irvine, CA, Rae Marie (José) Borgos of Mt. Pleasant, Lisa (Billy) Hamilton of Kenosha, Eric Peterson of Viroqua, Kristi (Jason) Meitzner of Winsdsor, Krystal (Tim) Fry of White Lake; 20 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Ben Thielitz of Fond du Lac and Clifford Thielitz of Des Plaines, IL. In addition to her parents and husband, Marie was preceded in death by a daughter, Colleen Hall, a son Bernard Coley, a grandson Neil Monson, 2 sisters Agnes Tischer and Rosie Kieper, 2 brother Elmer Thielitz and Billy Fritz. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 27 at 11:30 a.m. at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. Reverend David Karolus will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Langlade Cemetery.
