Marjorie Lucille Swartz

Marjorie Swartz, of Antigo, passed away June 20, 2016 at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation. She was 95 years old. She was born July 14, 1920 in Saxon, WI, daughter of the late John and Ida (Carpenter) Melchert. She married James Swartz on January 25, 1941, and he preceded her in death on December 19, 2001. Marjorie enjoyed gardening and cooking. She will especially be remembered for her wonderful apple and raspberry pies. She was a member of SS. Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church. Survivors include two sons, Gary (Kay) Swartz of Appleton, and Kenneth Swartz of Antigo; 7 grandchildren, Stephen (Kathy Gelino) Swartz of Maple Grove, MN, Jeffrey Swartz of Suamico, Anne-Marie (Chris) Walker of McLean, VA, Julie (Jeff) Michels of Appleton, Michael (Becky) Swartz of Naperville, IL, Jason (Tracey) Swartz of Antigo, and Brittney (Scott) Keller of Lincoln, NE; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and a sister, Jean Crego. A memorial mass will take place at a later date at SS. Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church. Marjorie will be laid to rest by her husband at the Saxon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established. Strasser-Roller Funeral Home is assisting the family.
