Adeline J. Schultz, age 92, died Friday, December 7, 2012 at her home under the care of her family and LeRoyer Hospice. She was born April 12, 1920 in Antigo, daughter of the late Mike and Agnes (Noskowiak) Steber. She married Neil Schultz on Aug. 12, 1939 in Neenah. Neil preceded her in death on Jan. 26, 2001. She was a homemaker. During World War II, she worked at Bergstrom Paper Company. She later worked alongside her husband at the White Owl Fur Farm for 20 years. She was also employed at the Birnamwood nursing home. Mrs. Schultz was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Mattoon. She was a member of the church quilting group. She enjoyed cutting and stacking firewood. She was also a good baker, and she loved to feed her friends and family. Survivors include a daughter, Karen (Clark) Huebner of Antigo; 2 sons, William (Vicki) Schultz of Antigo, and Ron Schultz of Minocqua; a sister, Caroline (Harold) Beck of Antigo; a brother, Ray (Lorraine) Steber of Florence, WI, a sister-in-law Betty Steber of Florence, WI; 5 grandchildren Wayne Huebner, Todd (Charlotte Horrell) Heubner, William Schultz, Jr., Wendy (Dan) Giese and Major Christopher Schultz and 7 great-grandchildren Ryan, Tory, and Nathan Huebner, Makayla and Brandon Schultz and Kimberly and Brianna Giese. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in law, Carol Schultz and 5 sisters Bernadine Beck, Georgia Kopetsky, Rita Johnson, Patricia Ruf and Marion Resch and a brother Jim Steber. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 13 at St. John Lutheran Church in Mattoon. Reverend Dr. Dean Bertsch will officiate. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Aniwa Cemetery. A memorial in Mrs. Schultz's name will be established for LeRoyer Hospice.
