Alexander David Wolf

Alexander David Wolf, age 30, died Wednesday, November 20, 2019 in Minneapolis, MN. Alex was born January, 2, 1989 to Keith and Kathleen (Moser) Wolf in Merrill, WI. The family resided in Antigo at the time. Alex was raised in Antigo, WI. He graduated from Antigo High School in 2007. He was a member of the Boys Scouts of America, and through his dedication and commitment, attained the honor of Eagle Scout. He went on to attend UW-Madison receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts: Radio-Televison-Film in 2011. Alex remained in Madison for a year post graduation and then moved to Minneapolis. In Madison, he volunteered for the Wisconsin Union Directorate Film Committee and the Wisconsin Film Festival. In Minneapolis, he was employed at the Minnesota-St. Paul Film Society. He was also employed as a Barista at various coffee shops in Minneapolis and most recently was the manager of the Honey and Rye Bakehouse at Graze Provisions and Libations in the North Loop. Alex had a quiet and genuine concern for others and the world he lived in. He accepted others and encouraged them to be their best selves. He lived his life with passion; and he was a truly positive, life-changing influence for those who knew him. He was a smart, funny, kind and talented young man. His interests were many, including indie and jazz music, movies, ultimate Frisbee, Quidditch, and D&D. He was a member of The Frosted Tips trivia team and a weekly knitting group. Alex's knitting talents brought him to being featured in the Minnesota Knitters' Guild Blog. Survivors in addition to his parents, Keith and Kathy, include 2 sisters; Amanda (Joseph) Olsen of Neenah and Rebekah (Nick Perry) Wolf of North Fond du Lac, his niece; Eleanor Olsen and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Alex was preceded in death by his grandparents; Don and Dolores Moser, and Kenneth and Rosemary Wolf. A memorial service wil be held on Wednesday, November 27 at 1:00 PM at the Antigo United Methodist Church, 2034 West Fifth Avenue. Reverend Debbie Pimm will officiate. Visiation will be on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 AM until the service. A luncheon will be provided for guests following the service. A Celebration of Life will also be held at a later date in Minneapolis. Information will be provided via Alex's facebook page, other social media and word of mouth. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Alex's name may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org) or Our Streets Minneapolis (www.ourstreetsmpls.org). Strasser-Roller Funeral Home is assisting the family.
