Alice Prins

Alice Prins of Antigo died October 10 at Eastview Medical & Rehabilitation Center at the age of 91. She was born April 4, 1920 in Antigo, the daughter of Thomas and Hattie (Crum) Monahan. In 1938 in Antigo she married Abraham Prins. He preceded her in death in 1982. Mrs. Prins worked over 45 years at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory. Mrs. Prins was a homemaker that enjoyed knitting, cooking and baking. She especially liked going out to eat with family and friends. She is survived by her son, Tom (Cathy) Prins of Antigo; four grandchildren, Rhonda (Robert) Husnick, and Jody (Ernie) Steger of Antigo; Jeff (Kathy) Prins and Tracy Erickson of Wausau; 10 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. Also survived by her sister, Jane (Dale) Archer, Antigo; daughter-in-law Karen Prins, Wausau; and dear friend, Winnie Cairo. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Prins; a sister; a brother; and a brother-in-law. A private family service was held, October 14, 2011 at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. Interment was alongside her husband in Bent Cemetery.
