Alice T. Cahak, age 104, of Antigo died Thursday, July 18, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Cahak was born on December 7, 1908 to the late Adolph and Mary (Bohr) Zenisek in Shawano. Raised in the Bowler area, Alice graduated from Shawano High School. She then taught school in Bowler. On August 6, 1927, she was united in marriage to Anthony "Tony" Cahak at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Antigo and they resided in Antigo. Mr. Cahak preceded her in death on October 25, 1996. Mrs. Cahak was a member of St. John Catholic Church. She was active in the Catholic Women's Club. She was also a member of the Jaycettes, Antigo Women's Club, and the Fine Arts Club. She devoted many years to the Girls Scouts as a leader. She took great pleasure in gardening, playing bridge, and traveling. She was known for her wonderful Bohemian kolaches. She loved the Packers, and never missed a game. Survivors include a daughter Sharon Muraski of Antigo, 2 grandsons, Thomas (Debbie) Muraski of Deerbrook and John A. (Terri) Muraski of Rothschild, and a great grandson Joe Muraski of San Fransisco, CA. She was preceded in death by a sister Eleanor Brunner, a brother, Tony Zenisek, and a son-in-law John M. Muraski. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, July 25 at 10:30 AM at St. John Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 9:00 until the service in Hoffman Hall at the church. A memorial will be established in Mrs. Cahak's name.
