Alice Werner

Alice Werner, age 89, of Birnamwood passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025.

Alice was born in Horry County, South Carolina on September 22, 1935 to the late Leavy and Earline (Ward) Spivey. She was united in marriage to Arnold Werner. He preceded her in death.

She lived in the Pembine area for over forty years.

Alice worked in various industries throughout her working years, including welding, mining roofing granules and selling Christmas trees. She was also employed at Walmart and worked in Panama City Beach during the spring break as a security guard. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, photography, playing bingo and especially loved time with her family and grandchildren.

Alice is survived by her children Diane Smith and Beth Perry Mark (Cathy)Werner, Cherie (Glenn) Winters, Kim (Craig Moore) Dunn, Patricia (Roger) Werner, Terri (Gary) Mathews, Paula Buffington, Betty (Jim) Stacks, her siblings: Bud (Carolyn) Ward, Pauline Worley, and Tom (Jean) Ward, a sister-in-law Jean Ward, grandchildren: Salena Smith, Amy Cornelius (Brian), Travis (Jessica) Boesen, Melody Elmhorson, and her great, great grandchildren and numerous grandchildren from the Werner family.

In addition to her parents and husband, Alice was preceded in death by her sons-in-law Terry Perry and Thomas Smith, sisters; Evelyn (Davis) Milligan, Mable (Russel) Gore, brother Tom Ward, a brother-in-law Howard Worley and a grandson Corey Boesen.

In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held.
