Alma "Lucy" Lucille Doran

Alma Lucille "Lucy" Doran, 81, died Wednesday, March 11, 2015 in St. Petersburg, FL after a brief illness. She was born in Alabama on July 25, 1933. Lucy married Curtis K. Doran on Dec. 20, 1968 in Fairbanks, Alaska. Lucy and Curt spent many summers in Antigo. Lucy graduated from high school in Mobile, Alabama, and worked as a telephone supervisor in Alabama and Alaska for RCA, Alaska Communications System, and other telephone companies. In addition to her husband, survivors include two sisters, Virginia (Henry) Denney of Colorado, and Lillian Simpson of Washington; a brother-in-law Roger (Kay) Doran of Antigo; and a sister-in-law, Mary Below of Brookfield; and 11 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, mother and father-in-law, a sister-in-law, and three brothers-in-law. A funeral will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 11 at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home, with Rev. David Karolus officiating. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Elmwood Cemetery.
