Anita Tomany

Anita Tomany, age 99, of Antigo died Tuesday. Mrs. Tomany was born June 13, 1913 to the late Charles and Elizabeth (Kakes) Pinkner in Neva, WI. She attended Deerbrook Grade School, Antigo Vocational School and Brights School of Floristry in Chicago. She was a floral designer at Wichtelo & Gimbels Flowers in Milwaukee and Schrader's in Green Bay. In Antigo she owned and operated Anita's Flower & Gift Shop for many years. Before her florist career she was employed at Beatrice Creamery in Chicago; Antigo Milk Products and Weavers Resort at Pelican Lake. Anita is survived by a grandson, Christopher Creech, Antigo; son-in-law, George Creech; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her parents; daughter, Donnell; sister, Violet; and brothers, Richard and Roy. No services will be held in honor of her wishes. Burial will take place at a later date at Antigo Cemetery.
