Anne C. Lierman

Anne C. Lierman, of Mattoon, died Tuesday, April 21 at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation. She was 92 years old. She was born March 9, 1917 in Hutchins Township, Shawano County, daughter of the late Charles and Annie Johnson. She married Paul Lierman on April 28, 1939, and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Lierman was a member of the Mattoon Church of the Nazarene. She was active with the Helping Hands, Church of the Nazarene Sewing Circle, and served as the church pianist. She also cared for many terminally ill people.A longtime Town of Hutchins resident, Mrs. Lierman worked as a homemaker. She moved to Mattoon in 1996.Survivors include a daughter Lois (Ralph) England of Erie, IL, 2 sons Linton "Bud" Lierman of Mattoon and Paul (Mary) Lierman of Tuscaloosa, AL, 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, a sister Rena McAuly of the Town of Hutchins, and a very special niece Judy Karpf of Antigo.She was preceded in death by 4 sisters Eveleen, Irene, Verna, and Agnes and a daughter-in-law Lynette Lierman.
