Annette D. Sambs

Annette Sambs of Antigo passed away on April 23, 2026 at Rosalia Gardens, under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. She was 83 years old.

Annette was born on September 20, 1942 to the late Otto Neubauer and Marion (Kluck) Kerneen. She lived most of her life in Tigerton except for the last few years. She was united in marriage to Charles “Chuck” Sambs on September 29, 1962. He preceded her in death on January 19, 2024.

Annette graduated from Tigerton High School, class of 1960. After high school, Annette attended beautician school in Green Bay and also worked for the glove factory in Clintonville. After she married Chuck, she worked as a bookkeeper for the family business, Sambs Forest Products, in addition to being a homemaker.

Annette was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church while residing in Tigerton and most recently attended Ss. Mary and Hyacinth’s and St. John’s Catholic Churches in Antigo. Annette enjoyed playing cards with friends. She had a great love for all her pets. She never met a dog she didn't love and spoil! She was also known for being an excellent cook and baker.

Annette is survived by daughter Denise Dundas (Pete Reitan) of Summerville, SC, son Mark (Shelly) Sambs of Antigo, grandchildren Andrew (Marrianne) Dundas of Indianapolis, IN, Treyton Sambs (fiancé Bryanna Edblom) of Antigo, Sienna (Kevin) Albrant of Rhinelander, and Keiden Sambs of Lehigh Acres, Fl, and brother Randy (Dawn) Neubauer of Sturgeon Bay.

In addition to her parents and husband, Annette was preceded in death by brothers Gary and Donny Erickson.

A private burial will take place at Tigerton Union Cemetery.
