Arlene Lapinski

Arlene Lapinski, lifelong Antigo resident, died Wed. Aug. 12 at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation. She was 79 years old.She was born Sept. 22, 1929 in Antigo, daughter of the late Fred and Rose (Hittle) Duquette. She married John Lapinski on July 26, 1952 at St. John Catholic Church. He survives.A 1947 graduate of Antigo High School, Mrs. Lapinski was a homemaker. She also worked at Olks Drugstore and Kommers Hardware.She belonged to SS Mary & Hyacinth parish, and was a member of the Rosary Society. She enjoyed playing cards.In addition to her husband, survivors include 2 daughters, Mary (Terry) Gau of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, and Julie (Mike) Kryka of Antigo; 2 sons, Thomas (Shari) of Ogdensburg, and Steve of Bryant; 3 sisters, Rosemary Hanus of Antigo, Marian Cheslak of Antigo, and Barbara "Bobbi" (Jerry) Guenthner of Eagle River; 2 grandchildren, Bailey and Kyle Gau.She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister Carole Jones, and a grandson Brandon Lapinski.
