Arthur Tillman, longtime area resident, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014. He was 61 years old. Visitation will be from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family. Monetary donations would be appreciated. He was born Feb. 1, 1953 in Phillips, son of the late Donald and Genevieve (Dewey) Tillman. He married Cindy Doering, and she survives. Mr. Tillman was a graduate of Antigo High School, and he worked as a dairy farmer. He will be remembered for all his hard work for his family. He was a devoted father and husband. He loved animals, especially his dogs and chickens, and the wild birds that he fed every day. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, being in the woods, and cutting and splitting wood. He liked watching sports, especially Packer games. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include 2 daughters, Michelle and Amanda Tillman of Antigo; a son, Shane Tillman of Antigo; 5 grandchildren, Justin and Cody Nowak, Abby Cochran, Kayla Tillman, and Austin Tillman; inherited son Jason (Tammy) Brauch and inherited granddaughter Jenna Brauch; 7 sisters, Phyllis Swanson, Sandee (Jerry) Bodah, Donna (George) Pesl, Patty (Maynard) Nigbor, Karen (Mark) Poull, Billie (Randy) Tushoski, Terri (Todd) Kielman; 3 brothers, Ken (Sandy) Tillman, Tony (Kathy) Tillman, and Tom (Kris) Tillman; 2 sisters-in-law, Deanna (Tony) Jakubiak, and Lynn (John) Kondzela; 2 brothers-in-law, Scott (Geri) Doering, and Barry Doering; stepmother-in-law Jeanne Doering; 32 nieces and nephews; and close friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Saltness; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Art and Marge Doering; and sister-in-law Sheryl Baird.
