Audrey E. Spiegl, age 67, died Sunday, August 11 2013 at Kennedy Park Nursing Home in Wausau under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice. She was born Nov. 18, 1945 in Antigo, daughter of the late John and Helen Spiegl. She was a graduate of Antigo High School class of 1964. She was an avid Packer Fan, and she also enjoyed watching Badgers football games, NASCAR races, Brewers baseball games. She liked walking and playing bingo. She is survived by 5 sisters, Sharon Spiegl of Antigo, Nancy (Fayez) Abu Hamdan of Amman, Jordan, Patt Komar of Antigo, Joni (Denny) Elam of Antigo, and Bonnie (Arturo) Utrena of Glendale; 2 brothers, Jack (Jeanne) Spiegl of Deerbrook, and Pete (Sandy) Spiegl of Greenville; 13 nieces and nephews, Amanda (Chris) Evans of San Antonio, TX, Tariq Abu Hamdan of San Antonio, TX, Rashaad Abu Hamdan of Houston, TX, Alex Komar of Milwaukee, Shaylin Elam of Minneapolis, MN, Khayla (Matt) Kanitz of Blaine, MN, Drew Elam of Howard, WI, Miry Spiegl of Glendale, Fran (Mark) Wanta of Wausau, John Spiegl of Deerbrook, Darrin Spiegl of Deerbrook, Kelly (Paul) Giese of Greenville, and Ryan (Amy) Spiegl of Appleton; and 10 great-nieces and great-nephews, Lauren and Christian Evans, Lou Kanitz, Zack and Connor Wanta, Justin Spiegl, Breely Spiegl, Gavin and Farrah Giese, and Porter Spiegl. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Susan Spiegl. A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home with Rev. Karen Tews officiating. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place following the service at Woodlawn Cemetery.
