August Carl Thompson

August Carl Thompson of Antigo passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family on November 28, 2023 at the age of 73. He was provided excellent and compassionate care by LeRoyer Hospice.

Augie was born on August 22, 1950 in Milwaukee to the late Harry Thompson and Glendelene (Hemsing) Webb.

He graduated from Pulaski High School in Milwaukee and went on to work at JI Case as a machinist in Racine.

Augie enjoyed golfing, camping, deer hunting, and reading.

He is survived by children Carol (Ron) Booher of Ironwood, Cheryl Chrudimsky of Antigo, April Richling of Antigo, and Kevin (Kurt) Thompson of Madison, grandchildren Holly, Derrick, Mackensie, Chelsea, Jacob, Andrew, Canden, Peter, and Ivy, 13 grandchildren, and siblings Sandy, Linda, and Harry Jr. “Jimmy”.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Harry and granddaughter Andrea Hensel.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Augie’s name to LeRoyer Hospice. In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held.
