Barbara Ann Sheldon

Barbara Ann Sheldon, age 75, of St. Louis Park, MN died peacefully in her home Monday, February 6, 2017. Barbara was born on December 15, 1941 in Birmingham, AL to the late James and Thelma (Helton) Scogin. She was united in marriage to William Stewart Sheldon on April 8, 1963. She moved to Antigo soon after and resided there for over 40 years, until moving to St. Louis Park, MN to be near her daughters. Barb and Bill enjoyed traveling to many countries, wintering in Arizona and being with their children and grandchildren. Barb was a wonderful gardener and enjoyed photographing flowers, exoctic animals and her grandchildren. She was also a volunteer at AVAIL and delivered Meals on Wheels for over 20 years. She was a member of United Methodist Church. Survivors include 2 daughters, Andrea (Paul) Tshihamba of St. Louis Park, MN and Billie Marie (Keith) Blomberg of St. Louis Park, MN, 7 grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob, Noah, Charis, Caleb, Samarah, and Miriam, and a sister-in-law Katie Scogin of Tennessee. In addition to her husband and parents, Barbara was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 4 brothers. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at United Methodist Church. Reverend Paul Tshihamba and Reverend Debbie Pimm will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home and on Friday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the church. Interment will follow the service at Elmwood Cemetery.
