Barbara Jean Beckingham

Barbara Beckingham, age 76, of town of Norwood passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2026 at her home under the care of her family and St. Croix Hospice.

Barb was born on August 7, 1949 in Antigo to the late Harold Edward and Irene Marie (Boelter) Meyer. She was a graduate of Antigo High School class of 1966. She was united in marriage to Michael Beckingham on October 18, 1969. He preceded her in death on August 17, 2014.

Barb was a homemaker and operated a dairy farm. In 1992 she started working at the Antigo Unified School District as a custodian, especially enjoying her time at Spring Valley School.

Barb had many enjoyments, including HGTV, Hallmark movies and traveling (especially her trips to Texas). Her greatest love was most certainly her family.

She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Polar.

Survivors include her children Becky (Kris) Post of Antigo and Todd (Jamie) Beckingham, 8 grandchildren: Whitney (Brandon) Tegan, Jordan (fiancé Keara Stolzman), Brittany Beckingham, Jake (Mackenzie) Unsinn, Mackenzie Beckingham (Zack Raab), Katie Post, Lexy Beckingham, Brileigh Beckingham and Brody Beckingham, 9 great grandchildren: Oakland, Wrenly, Ryland, Emmy, Rhett, Paige, Payton, Maverick, a sister Charlotte Starr of Neenah, sisters-in-law: Terry Meyer of Pinedale, WY, Judy Meyer of Appleton and Judy Meyer of Deerbrook.

In addition to her parents and husband, Barb was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Randy, Denny, Jerry and Kenneth Meyer.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 4 at 10:30 AM at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Polar. Reverend Donald Engebretson will officiate. Visitation will be held on Sunday at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Monday at the church from 9:30 AM until the service. Interment will be in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in Barb’s name.
