Benjamin “Benny” Dean Kerstetter of Aniwa passed away on April 7, 2021 at the age of 17 as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Benjamin was born on May 10, 2003 in Wausau to Ralph Johnston of Deerbrook and Cindy (Dan) Schafer of Aniwa. He was a senior at Antigo High School. Benjamin enjoyed art, music, and woodworking and he was very mechanically talented. He also enjoyed spending his time four-wheeling, scootering, and snowmobiling. He was known to be so caring and always helpful. He had a great sense of humor and a heart of gold. He was a true and genuine friend. In addition to his parents, Benjamin is survived by sisters; Tiffany Debroux and Pamela Schafer, brothers; Ethan Schafer, Hunter Schafer, Tyler Schafer, Adam (Shana) Schafer, DJ Schafer, and Jay (Amanda) Schafer, maternal grandparents; Judy and Ron Korn, girlfriend; Julia Zuniga, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Benjamin was preceded in death by a sister, Holly Spangler, paternal grandparents; Maria and Earnest Johnston and Doris and Lyman Schafer, maternal grandfather; Carl Kerstetter, cousin; Leandra Koszarek, niece; Vexy Schafer, and 6 angel siblings the Lord chose to bring home before their birth. A funeral service for Benjamin will take place on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. A visitation will take place prior to the service from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
