Bernadine "Bernie" Seefeldt

April 18, 1953 — April 19, 2023

Bernadine “Bernie” Seefeldt, of Antigo, passed away on April 19, 2023 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital at the age of 70.


Bernie was born on April 18, 1953 in Aniwa to the late Anton and Beulah (Meverden) Tautges. She graduated from Birnamwood High School. On July 3, 1971, she was united in marriage to Gary Seefeldt at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Antigo. He survives.


Bernie worked at Marathon Electric for 17 years. She also provided childcare for several families.


Bernie was a faithful member of Peace Lutheran Church. She enjoyed bowling, reading, playing solitaire, and watching soap operas. She was talented at crocheting. Along with Gary, she also enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, and fishing.


In addition to her husband Gary, she is survived by sisters Dorothy Fredrickson of Antigo and Rosalie (Gerald) Ziegelbauer of Birnamwood, sister-in-law, Fay Rosnow of Wittenberg, and many nieces and nephews.


In addition to her parents, Bernie was preceded in death by an infant daughter, brothers, Michael (Anna) Tautges and James (Kathy) Tautges, sister Mary (Clyde) Deisinger, and brothers-in-law Ronald Rosnow and Jim Fredrickson.


A memorial service for Bernie will be held at Peace Lutheran Church on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 11:30AM, officiated by Rev. David Karlous and Vicar Bryce Clayton. Visitation will take place prior to the service at the church from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
