Berniece Petters, 77, of Bass Lake, was received into the hands of God, Jan. 29, 2009 at her home. She was born Sept. 10, 1931 in Langlade Co., the daughter of the late Alfred and Linda (Kegley) Bornemann. She married Eugene Petters in Antigo on June 10, 1950 in Antigo. He preceded her in death.Mrs. Petters was an Antigo High School graduate. She was employed as a certified nursing assistant at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation from May 24, 1989 to August 26, 2005. She previously worked as a waitress for 19 years at High Point in Summit Lake. She was a hard working woman, and was humbly proud of her accomplishments.She enjoyed bowling and nature. She especially loved Greater Bass Lake.Survivors include 3 daughters, Nancy (fiancée Terry Benes) of Antigo, Susan (Mike Witzeling) of Wausau, Tracy (Rob Schmidt) Petters of Nebraska; 1 son Paul (Lori) Petters of Iowa; 2 granddaughters, Amanda Murphy and Danielle Beebe; 2 sisters, Shirley Zolnik of Nekoosa, and LaVerne Carter of Antigo; and 2 brothers, Ralph (Jenny) Bornemann of Deerbrook, and Bruce (Mary) Kegley of Belgium, WI.In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a son Peter, 2 infant twin children, and a brother Art Bornemann.
