Beverly Shuhmacher

Beverly Schuhmacher died February 8, 2012 at Langlade Hospital under LeRoyer Hospice care. She was born August 31, 1940 in Rockford, IL to the late Robert and Helen (Phillips) Lester. She married George Schuhmacher in 1956; they divorced in 1979 but had remained friends through the years. She moved to Antigo in the spring of 1977 where she was a homemaker and a member of Ascension Lutheran Church. Ms. Schuhmacher was a 4-H leader, Girl Scout leader, enjoyed baking and was a good cook. She also very much enjoyed having her grandchildren and great- grandchild with her. Being an animal lover she had many pets over the years. Survivors include four daughters, Wannetta (John) Messer, Antigo, Jeannette (Leslie Menting) Schuhmacher, Antigo, Brenda (Patrick) Mosher, Antigo and Bridgette (Jason) Boehm, Wausau; two sons, Pedro (Mary) Schuhmacher, Antigo and Blake (Tina) Schuhmacher, Antigo; eight grandchildren, and 11 great- grandchildren; survived also by many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Lee Niles and a great granddaughter, Leona Niles. A graveside service will be held at Willwood Burial Park in Rockford, IL on Tuesday, February 14 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her name.
