Blakely Joseph Reid Zaverousky

Blakely Joseph Reid Zaverousky of Antigo passed away unexpectedly at Aspirus Langlade Hospital on April 2, 2021 at the age of 40. Blake was born in Antigo on May 20, 1980 to Tim and Doris (Petts) Zaverousky. Blakely graduated from Antigo High School in 1999. He worked many jobs through the years, including Brunswick Bowling Pin Factory, Volm Companies, Walmart, painting, and Schroeder Brothers Potato Farm. Blakely enjoyed music, four-wheeling, fishing, and spending time outdoors. His patience made him a good tinkerer, and you’d often find him working on cars and other automotive equipment. He had a strong love for animals, especially cats, and he enjoyed volunteering his time over the years at the humane society. He had a big heart and loved kids, especially his nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Blakely is survived by his sisters; Melanie (Craig) Burns of Lily, Hayley (Randy Smith) Zaverousky of Antigo, and Caitlyn (Justin Washatko) Zaverousky of Antigo, nieces and nephews; Hannah Brinley, Brielle, Jett, Crue, and Indie, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Blakely was preceded in death by an infant brother, Jodie, maternal grandmother; Grace Petts, paternal grandmother; Evelyn Zaverousky, and paternal grandfather; Joseph Zaverousky. Special thank you to AFD, staff at Aspirus Langlade Memorial Hospital ER, and Antigo Police Department. Your compassion has been a blessing to our family, and you are all angels on Earth. You are finally free from your lifelong battle of pain and suffering, and we are so sorry we weren’t able to save you. We love you!!!
