Carol Ann Bloedorn

September 11, 1942 — July 25, 2025

Carol Ann Bloedorn, age 82, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 25th, 2025, in Pearson, WI, surrounded by her loving family and two loyal canine companions, Red and Cedar.

Carol was born on September 11, 1942, in Milwaukee, WI, to Walter and Annette Schueler. Her early years were spent in Elm Grove, where she worked at the Elm Grove Pharmacy. She graduated with the Brookfield Central High School Class of 1960.

On June 1, 1963, Carol was united in marriage to Donald J. Bloedorn in Elm Grove, Wisconsin. Together, they built not just a family, but a legacy that touched countless lives. A woman of many talents, Carol excelled in sewing and craftwork, transforming fabrics into beautiful quilts, wedding dresses, elaborate Halloween costumes and 4-H drama production attire. Her passion for gardening was the focus during her time as the leader of the Rainbow 4-H Club. Practical and thrifty, Carol enjoyed finding a good deal. Especially on a gift for someone else.

Antigo, WI, was home for many years, where Carol applied her sharp and meticulous mind as a bookkeeper and church secretary. Alongside Don, she contributed to their businesses, from a sewing machine shop to a financial services firm, and supported numerous nonprofit endeavors.

After retiring, Carol spent her early retirement years in Crystal River, FL, before later relocating back to the Midwest to Baraboo, WI. In Baraboo, her presence was felt on the bleachers of Baraboo High School, supporting her granddaughter’s school cheer team. She was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, contributing through quilting circles and embodying her strong faith.

Above all else, Carol was a devoted mother and grandmother whose love knew no bounds. She was an exceptional listener and a trusted confidante, always there for her children and grandchildren. Her legacy is not just one of warmth and love, but of a life lived with purpose and passion.

Carol’s memory will continue to be treasured by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her. Her spirit will remain in the hearts of many and in the countless acts of kindness she leaves behind.

Carol is survived by her children: Walter Bloedorn, Paul (Lacy) Bloedorn, and Dawn (Ray) Travis; her sisters: Marilyn (Dick) Orlopp, Jeanie (Bob) Foster, and Diane (Jack) Champagne; her grandchildren: Kerry (Cecilia) Bloedorn, Holly (Michael) Bergum, Benjamin (Erika) Bloedorn, Hannah Bloedorn, Brooke (Nicholas) Heinzmann, Ross (Kate) Bloedorn, Ray (Kaylee) Travis, and Mykalla Travis; in addition to seventeen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Annette Schueler; her husband, Don Bloedorn; and her sister, Nancy Muenchberg.
