Carol Nadine Humphres passed away on January 12, 2026 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital at the age of 85.
Carol was born on December 25, 1940 in White Lake to the late Raymond and Violet (Kinder) Kadlec. She graduated from White Lake High School. On August 29, 1959, she was united in marriage to James Humphres at the Presbyterian Church in White Lake. He preceded her in death on June 8, 2002.
Carol was a devoted homemaker. She was an excellent cook and baker. Her specialty was her homemade buns. She also enjoyed gardening and canning and passed her talents down to her daughters. She always kept her mind sharp by working on crossword puzzles. Carol also loved her dogs and birds that frequented her feeders. She loved it when a cardinal appeared. She also enjoyed fishing in her younger years and sewing. Above all, she treasured her family and her faith and attended Four Corners Assembly of God.
Carol is survived by daughters, Colleen (Dan) Nickolai of White Lake and Ann (Tony) Rindahl of Antigo, grandchildren, Matthew (Missa) Nickolai, Selina (Philip) Falesch, Ryan Nickolai, Jason (Misty) Nickolai, and Zackary (Carlie) Nickolai, great grandchildren, Adrian, Ethan, Haleigh, Chase (Christina), Layla, Ruby, Casen, Lukas, Jayden, Annabelle, and Evelyn, great great grandchild Paisley, aunt Mary Elizabeth Clark, and cousins.
A funeral service for Carol will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026 at 5:00 PM at Four Corners Assembly of God with Reverend Marvin Kindle officiating. Visitation will take place prior to the service at the church from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
