Carol Jean Mueller of White Lake, formerly of Michigan and Alaska, passed away on August 1, 2024 at Rosalia Gardens, under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. She was 78 years old.
Carol was born in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI on June 9, 1946 to the late Charles and Roberta Powell. She graduated from Holly High School in Holly, MI.
Due to a mis prepared pizza and a discussion about Carol’s haircut, Carol ended up meeting the love of her life, Brian Mueller, while both were residing in Alaska. The couple married on December 24, 1993 in Anchorage in a white horse, white carriage, snowy ceremony.
Carol lived her life filled with adventure. This often had her wearing many hats from construction hat to captain hat. Carol was a talented dancer and dance instructor. Upon marrying Brian, she worked as an equipment operator and construction manager for their asphalt company.
Carol and Brian shared a passion for sailing. The couple spent 14 years building their 65-foot sailboat “The Debutante” from the ground up. When The Debutante was complete, their town of news crews, police officers, and more, came together to launch the Debutante and send the couple off on their voyages. Carol and Brian set sail, beginning their journey in Alaska and ending up in the Sea of Cortez.
In addition to her husband, Carol is survived by children Tammie (Terry) Frey of Lacaster, PA, Gary Supé of Salt Lake City, UT, Gregory Mueller, Dawn (Michael) Fowler, Bernard Mueller, Michelle (Frank) Daugherty and their families. Carol was a dog lover and survived by her dog Charlie. She is also survived by close friend Christine Eldridge.
A celebration of life for Carol will be held at a later date.
