Carol Marie Meade

Carol Marie Meade, age 70, of Antigo died November 9, 2022, at Cloverleaf Residence in Birnamwood, Wisconsin.

Carol was born in Antigo on December 23, 1951, to Jerome and Alice (Noskowiak) Janssen.

She was a graduate of Antigo High School class of 1970. She married James Meade on June 29, 1974, at St. Joseph's Church in Phlox. He preceded her in death on September 4, 2004

Carol was a devoted homemaker as well as working at McCellan's Dime Store, Hunter's Supermarket, and Lakeside Pharmacy.

She enjoyed birdwatching, knitting, embroidering, cooking, and baking sweets and treats for others. In her later years she enjoyed watching Hallmark Christmas movies and soap operas.

Survivors include her children Wendy (Allan Gelhausen) Meade of Antigo, John (Gidget Melichar) Meade of Aniwa, Ron (Jessica) Meade of Mattoon, Roy (Sally Curtis) Meade of Antigo, Shannon (Moses) Schneider of Wausau, Paula (Warren) Inman of Antigo, grandchildren James and Harlon Meade, Jonathon and Meredith Schneider and Robert and Jackson Inman. Carol is also survived by her siblings Judy (Daniel) Dewey, Mary Janssen, Gary (Diane) Janssen, George Janssen, Cheryl (Terry) Schroepfer, and Joseph Janssen.

Mass of Christian Burial for Carol will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, W7365 State Highway 47, Phlox, WI. Fr. Charles Hoffmann will be the celebrant. Interment in Town of Norwood Cemetery will follow. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass.
