Carole Jean Donohue, 79, formerly of Antigo died Saturday at Eastgate Care Springs Nursing Home in Cincinnati, Ohio.Carole was born December 16, 1929 in Antigo to the late Ronald and Inez (Tucker) Moss. She graduated from Antigo High School in 1948. On April 28, 1951 she married Eugene "Dude" Donohue in Antigo. He preceded her in death on October 20, 2001. One of Carole's many talents included creating egg ornaments and crafts. She owned and operated Carole's Decorets for 10 years and taught crafts and egg decorating. She also painted downtown business windows at Christmas time and managed Norde Memorials. Her true passion was creating Christmas ornaments from goose and ostrich eggs. She also created a Three Wisemen display that was very elegant. Christmas was a treasured time for the Donohue family with the house trimmed both inside and outside. Carole's artistry evolved into painting on canvas and she began doing paintings as gifts for family and friends.Carole was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Antigo. She was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader. Carole sang in the Sweet Adelines and was instrumental in forming the Noteblenders in 1964, but her favorite songs were the ones sung by and with her daughters.Carole is survived by 4 daughters; Karen (Michael) Simon of Cincinnati, OH, Kathy (Michael) Hiller of Mukwonago, WI, Patsy (Ron) Roemer of Lakeland, MI, and Katie (George) Greczyllo of Shenorock, NY; 2 sisters Lois Goeman of Antigo and Janet (Bill) Heckman of Antigo; a sister-in-law Lois Moss of Antigo; a brother Larry (Lou) Moss of Pelican Lake; 10 grandchildren Katie, Michael and Kari Simon, Kevin (Susie) Hiller and Paul Hiller, Tiffany, Justin, and Ryan Roemer, and E.J. and Alex Greczylo; and a great granddaughter Adelaide Kathleen Hiller.
