Cassandra Elizabeth Borneman, age 24, of Wausau died unexpectedly July 26, 2021, at Aprirus Wausau Hospital. Cassandra was born on April 24, 1997, in Antigo to David and Sarah (Burkhart) Borneman. She was a graduate of Antigo High School class of 2015. She attended First Baptist Church in Antigo until moving to Wausau. Being a homemaker and “Mommy” to her son Travis was one of her greatest joys. She was engaged to be married to Logan Duncan. She enjoyed playing Pokemon Go, loved animals, reading, her family, and was a faithful Christian. Survivors include her parents David and Sarah Borneman of Deerbrook, fiancé Logan Duncan of Wausau, her son Travis Duncan of Wausau, sisters: Kattie Borneman (Bo Messer) of Wisconsin Dells, Kristen Borneman of Deerbrook, brother Cody Borneman of Deerbrook, paternal grandmother Janet Borneman of Antigo, maternal grandfather Floyd Burkhart of Bryant; aunts: Diane Borneman, Lalie (Steve) Wilke, Linda (Nigel) Ramos; uncles: Frank and Floyd Burkhart, and many cousins. Cassandra was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Doris Burkhart, paternal grandfather Art Borneman, and aunts: Laura Shidell and Terri Borneman. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Friday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. Reverend John Sass will officiate. Interment will be in Bent Cemetery.
