Catherine Litt

Catherine Litt, age 98, of Antigo died December 26, 2012 at Homme Home for Aging in Wittenberg, WI. Catherine was born July 16, 1914 to the late Alf and Carrie (Eastmoen) Krattebol in Chicago, IL. On September 17, 1938 she was united in marriage to Otto Litt in Chicago. Mr. Litt preceded her in death on August 8, 2008. The couple lived in LaGrange, IL and Broadview, IL. Catherine was a registered nurse and worked at Children's Hospital in Chicago and St. Luke's Presbyterian Hospital, which is now Rush Medical Center. In 1965, she and her husband purchased a cabin on Crane Lake. Upon in 1975 retirement, they moved to Crane Lake. They later moved to Antigo. Catherine was an active member of Arbutus Lutheran Church in Pearson. She enjoyed reading and the generous services of the Antigo Public Library. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, and Ups and Downs of Pickerel. She treasured the friendships she had with her neighbors, and loved her family and was proud of all of them. Survivors include a daughter, Marge (Duane) Olivier of Galena, IL, a son Richard (Linda) Litt of Rapid City, IL, 5 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Marshall Krattelbol. Services will be held on Saturday, December 29 at 12:00 noon at Grace Lutheran Church located at 200 N. Catherine St. in LaGrange, IL. Rev. Said Ailabouni will officiate. Visitation will be at the church Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorial may be given to Arbutus Lutheran Church in Pearson, WI.
