Charles E. Micke

Charles Edward Micke "Chuck" passed away unexpectedly on October 8, 2023, at the age of 42.

Chuck was born on March 20, 1981, in Antigo to Robin Skorie and the late Harvey Baker.

After receiving his high school education, Chuck proudly served his country by enlisting in the U.S. Navy where he worked in aviation mechanics.

On April 28, 2020, Chuck was united in marriage to Holly Strasser.

Chuck was known as a loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. His generosity will be remembered by all who know him. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He was a jack of all trades which came in handy as he was always willing to lend a helping hand. Chuck lived his life to the fullest, whether it was scuba diving or hitch hiking from Alaska. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

In addition to his wife Holly and mother Robin, Chuck is survived by siblings Johnathon Henry Baker of Antigo, Joshua David Micke of Antigo and Candi J. Ackerman of Appleton, stepchildren Theresa Nicole Strasser of Antigo, Joseph (Lexy Slack) Miranda of Wausau, Michael Anthony (Hailley Bardwell) Rabe of Antigo, grandchildren Jaxon Edwin Miranda and Silas James Slack, nieces and nephews Alberto, Virgina, and Maya, and his beloved canine companion Blue Dog.

In addition to his father Harvey, Chuck was preceded in death by his stepfather John Skorie, his maternal grandparents Henry and Edith Spencer, and his paternal grandparents Charles and Dolly Baker.

Chuck's family has planned a memorial service to take place on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 12:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Antigo. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.
