Chester "Chet" A. Cochrane, Jr., age 81 of Antigo, died today at his home.Chet was born December 15, 1928 in Detroit, MI to the late Chester and Eva (Gary) Cochrane. On June 24, 1961 Chet and Anna Reichwein were united in marriage in Boston,MA.Mr. Cochrane service in the US Army and later the US Airforce. He was station in Germany 2 times and also Otis Air Force base in New England, Greenland, Westover,MA and then came to the Antigo Air Force Base. After retiring from service as Tech Sgt., Chet worked for Indian Affairs in Rhinelander and then Chase Bank in Antigo doing cleaning and maintenance.Chet proudly served his country and enjoyed his years in service. He was also a Red Sox fan, liked to fish, spend time with friends at Burger King and was always willing to help friends with projects.He was a member of St. Wencel's Catholic Church in Neva. In addition to his wife, Anna, survivors include 2 sisters; Lillian Beary of Witman, MA and Rose Caswell of North Weymouths, MA, and many nieces and nephews.Mr. Cochrane was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Jaggers and 2 brother-in-laws.
