Clarence B. Guralski Jr., age 76, of Schofield, WI died battling cancer on Thursday, July 13, 2023 surrounded by family at William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison, WI.
Clarence was born on August 18, 1946 in Rothschild, WI to Clarence and Gertrude (Sensfski) Guralski. He met the love of his life, Lois Ann Boettcher, when he drummed in a polka band at Boettcher’s Bar, they married in 1966 at St. Peter’s Lutherans Church in Polar, WI.
After his service in the US Air Force from 1966-1970 they moved to Hatley, WI and raised their family, later moving to Green Bay, WI and eventually to Scholfield, WI. Clarence was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Birnamwood, WI for 52 years, a volunteer fire fighter, and active in the Moose Lodge and Lions Club.
He loved tinkering and woodworking with his son, feeding the birds, squirrels and any person he met, hunting, fishing, golf and later just the golf cart and his friends at the camper. Clarence was funny and loved to put a smile on your face. He had a generous spirit, a soft heart and the most beautiful blue eyes. He was quick with a hug and kiss and his family and friends knew he loved them.
In addition to Lois, Clarence is survived by his kid’s Jeffrey (Christine) Guralski of Wausau, WI, Jeanette (Adam) Martinez of Weston, WI, and Jacilyn (Kevin) Hoppa of Shantytown, WI. Grandkids: Amber, Kody, Cassandra, Alexis, Kyle, Nichole, Kelly, Ryan, Nathaniel, and Andrew Great Grandkids: Noah, Autom, Alayna, Mayla, Arlo, William, Ava, Reygan, Harper, and Axel. Sisters: Mary Lou (Clark) Wolfe of Tomahawk, WI and Beverly Yach of Schofield, WI.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents and his great-granddaughter Fiona.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 21st at 11:00 am at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home in Antigo, WI. Reverend Matthew Christians will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the service at the funeral home. Military Honors will follow the service at the funeral home.
