Claudia Jean Fjerstad

Claudia Jean Fjerstad of Antigo passed away on August 16, 2024 at Aurora Bay Care Medical Center. She was 76 years old.

Claudia was born on May 18, 1948 in Antigo to the late Claude and Patrica (Polege) Carter. Claudia graduated from Antigo High School. She married Steven Fjerstad on June 7, 2002 in Nashville, TN.

She worked as a waitress in Antigo for various restaurants. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Polar. She enjoyed country car rides, fishing, and visits to the casino.

In addition to her husband, Claudia is survived by children; Tasha Clegg, Melynda Kaario, and William Clegg, grandchildren; Nikita, Kegan, Makaylee, MaKenzie, Gordon, Lalani, and William, siblings; Judy Carter, Wendolyn Carter, Troy Carter, Cindy Luzinski, Scott Ralph, Royal Ralph, and Jolene Clemins.

In addition to her parents, Claudia was preceded in death by a brother Patrick Carter.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Polar. A memorial service will follow at the church at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
