Clifford J. Taggart, of Antigo, died Wed. May 9, 2012 at Langlade Hospital at the age of 90. He was born May 30, 1921 in Green Bay, son of the late Charles Homer and Nellie (Burt) Taggart. He married Margaret Fouch in Antigo in 1945, and she preceded him in death in 1986. Mr. Taggart was a WWII veteran, serving in the US Army in Europe. He was a member of the VFW, DAV, and American Legion. He was a delivery driver for Antigo Dairy and also was employed as an auto attendant at Remington Motors. He enjoyed reading and playing cards at the CAR club. Survivors include a daughter, Shirley (Dennis) Teske; 3 sons, Jim (Linda) Taggart of Wausau, Tom (Connie Solin) Taggart of Antigo, and Jerry (Gilda) Taggart of Panama City, FL; 5 grandchildren, Michael, Deanna, Bobbijo, DJ, and Phillip; and several great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters and a brother. A graveside service will take place at 1:00 pm Saturday at Elmwood Cemetery. Local veterans will perform military rites.
