Clifford N. Powell, 77, of Antigo and formerly of Elton died Tuesday at his home. Clifford was born January 30, 1932 to the late Newt and Eva (Jones) Powell. Mr. Powell worked at Armor's Laboratory in Illinois, in the Manitowoc Ship Yard, and at Rhinelander Laundry. He then retired and settled in Antigo. He enjoyed trout fishing , music and sports.Clifford served in the US Air Force from April 12, 1949 until November 6, 1952 in the Korean War. He was a member of the White Lake American Legion.Survivors include 3 sisters; Carol O'Meara, Martha (Ralph) Kelpsas, and Donna (Wayne) LaPage all of Antigo; 2 brothers Kenneth (Carol) Powell of Iron Mountain, MI and Gary (Connie) Powell of Deerbrook. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.Clifford was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters Lola Olson and Dulsie Robinson, 3 brothers James, Tom, and John.
