Clorinda "Cloe" Creighbaum, 88, of Antigo died at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center Wednesday, September 14, 2011 after a lengthy stay at the facility. Mrs. Creighbaum was born July 29, 1923 to the late Elmer John and Mary (Miller) Sawings in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. She married Anthony Wieczorek on September 19, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. As a couple they owned and operated a restaurant in the city until his death in March of 1964. On July 19, 1965 she married Gordon Creighbaum in Chicago. They retired to Antigo where Gordon preceded her in death on November 1, 1991. She was a member of Faith United Church of Christ, Jewel Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, and also volunteered at the Senior Center in Antigo. Mrs. Creighbaum was an avid coin collector, enjoyed walking and going to the casino. All who knew her loved her. An Eastern Star Service will be held Friday, September 16 at 4:30 p.m. at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. A gathering will follow at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Mary Catholic Church Cemetery in Pickerel.
