Colton Daniel Schroepfer

Colton Daniel Schroepfer, age 22, of Bonduel passed away unexpectedly on September 12, 2021. Colton was born on December 31, 1998 in Wausau to Ronald and Vicki (Zipperer) Schroepfer while the family was residing in Mattoon. While in high school Colton began completing his welding certification. Colton graduated from Bonduel High School in 2017. Following graduation, he attended and completed Fox Valley Technical College for welding. Through his dedication and talent, he was an honor roll graduate. On that day, which fell on Mother’s Day, he surprised his mother as he adorned the cords representing his achievement. His lifelong passion, one that began as a toddler with his dad, truly described the man he became. Auto mechanics and auto restoration were a true passion. He pursued his lifelong passion, one that began as a toddler in the garage working on cars with his dad, by attending Fox Valley Technical College competed his welding certification. For Colton, auto mechanics and auto restoration were a way of life, a true passion. Through his dedication and talent, he was an honor roll graduate. Colton’s first job at the age of 15, was of course working on race trucks for Douglas Motorsports. His next employment was alongside Uncle Tony and Uncle Carl at Tony’s Hot Rod Shop. He really couldn’t get enough of his passion and therefore, most recently he worked with his dad/best friend at Tag’s Auto in conjunction with working at Geno’s Supper Club, a job for which he was recruited, and for Dr. Gear building racecar parts. He always gave it his all. Colton also found time to enjoy trap shooting and snowmobiling. Family and friends meant the world to Colton, evidenced by the picture of Grandpa that hung in his 1977 Ford F150. He lived his life for fun along with consideration and care for others. Colton was a member of St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Cecil, where he ushered. In addition to his parents Ron and Vicki of Bonduel, Colton is survived by grandparents; Ron and Peggy (Schroepfer) Wierzba, as well as aunts and uncles of the Zipperer, Schroepfer, Wierzba families, many cousins, and dear friends young and old. Colton was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather; Melvin Schroepfer, maternal grandparents; Irma Zipperer and Francis Zipperer, Jim Huhn “Uncle Henry”, and Jane Huhn “Aunt Mildred”. The funeral mass for Colton will take place on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Holy Family Catholic Church, W7365 State Hwy 47, Phlox, WI with Father Charles Hoffmann and Deacon Tom Hartman officiating.Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home, 504 Edison St., Antigo, WI with a vigil service taking place at 7:00 PM. There will be visitation from 10:00 AM until the service at the church on Friday. In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in Colton’s name.
