Craig Barta

Craig G. Barta, age 58, of Antigo passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at his home under the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice.

Craig was born on October 12, 1966, in Antigo to the late Kenneth and Dorothy (Petroskey) Barta.

He was a graduate of Antigo High School class of 1985.

On September 24, 1994, he was united in marriage to Cheryl Falk.

Craig was a route salesman for Frito Lay and made many close connections with those he called on.

His interests and pastimes were playing softball, fishing, camping cheering on his favorite teams, the Chicago Cubs and the Buffalo Bills and he especially treasured time with family and his grandchildren.

Craig was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Polar.

Survivors in addition to his wife Cheryl include his children: Amy (Marvin) Brisby of Antigo, Michael (May) Molitor of Greenville, Cady Molitor of Tomahawk, a sister Jane (Joe) Wolf and a brother Paul Barta all of Clearwater, FL, grandchildren: Kiana, Devon, Marvin Jr, Malik, Sade, Tommy, Sebastian, Kairi, Cierra, 2 great grandchildren: Kinsley and Kaiser and his mother-in-law Shirley Falk of Birnamwood.

In addition to his parents, Craig was preceded in death by infant brother Gary Barta, his father-in-law William Falk and a brother-in-law William Falk, Jr.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 5:00 PM at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Polar. Reverend Donald Engebretson will officiate. Visitation will be at the church prior to the service beginning at 3:00 PM.
