Cynthia "Sue" Day, age 86, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Rosemary Manor in Mattoon, WI.
Sue was born on March 1, 1937, in McLean, TX a daughter of the late James Dee and Roberta Maudell (Corum) Burrows.
She moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1939 as a young girl. In 1955 she graduated from Albuquerque High School. On September 7, 1956, she was united in marriage to Morris Edward Day at Southside Church of Christ in Albuquerque.
Sue worked alongside her husband in the auto sales business as a bookkeeper. They owned and operated Day Motor Co., Midwest Motors, Sundance Motors and Southwest Sunset Autos all in Albuquerque. They raised their family in Albuquerque and were members of Church of Christ while living there.
In 2017 they moved to Mississippi. While living there they were members of Perrytown Church of Christ.
Most recently the couple moved to Antigo, WI to be near their daughter, Sherry.
Sue loved to travel, Dance and spend time with her family. She and Morris were fortunate to enjoy many trips, including a couple of Alaskan cruises, a couple of Disney cruises, a trip to Hawaii and all across the southern and western States.
In addition to her husband, Morris, Sue is survived by 4 of 5 children: Nancy Burnett, Cindy (Mitch) Zamparello, Sherry (Greg) Piraino, John (Tammy) Day, a daughter-in-law Patty Wilson, sisters: Gwen Berry and Bobbie Quensenberry, a brother Wayne Burrows, 2 sisters-in-law: Marilyn Burrows and Rosemary Bass, 12 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren, along with many Nieces and Nephews.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, and infant son, son Terry Day, grandson Christopher, a brother John Burrows, and a son-in-law Wriley Burnett.
Services will be held at later date in Albuquerque.
