D'Anna Cox

D’Anna Mae (Prickette) Cox, age 84, of Antigo, WI, passed away on June 11th while residing at Rosalia Gardens, surrounded by her children. We are comforted to know that D’Anna is enjoying eternal peace with our Lord and Savior.

D’Anna was born on October 3rd, 1939, in Elcho, WI, a daughter of the late Alfred “Toby” and Arlene Prickette.

She attended Antigo High school and later completed her LPN nursing degree. Her vast careers included nursing, professional organist, saleswoman, seamstress, clothing designer and business owner. She was also a member of the Bob & Dee Combo musical group for many years.

D’Anna loved God and her family more than anything. She also loved the many dogs that she took into her family and spoiled rotten. Her past times included going on long walks with her dogs, planting beautiful flower gardens, making clothes for her family, traveling and cooking for family get togethers.

She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. D’Anna’s faith was of upmost importance to her and her Bible accompanied her through the halls of Rosalia Gardens on her walker.

D’Anna was survived by her daughters Debra (Christopher) Tetting of Antigo, and Christine (Barry) Stanford of Antigo, sons Jerry (Mary) Smith of Holiday Island AR, and Mark (Tatiana) Selner of Appley Valley CA, stepdaughters Ginny Paulsen and Cindy Cox and stepson Mike Cox, and her sister Judith (Tom) Kannenburg. D’Anna is also survived by her 16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

D’Anna was preceded in death by her husband Gary Cox, her daughter Susan “Suzie” Reese, granddaughter D’Anna Dillman, her siblings, Ron Priquette, Larry Prickette, Gordan Prickette, Darlene Gringas, Betty Rawlings, Duretta Stewart, and Dolores “Dody” Davis.

Visitation and funeral will take place Monday at Peace Lutheran Church, 300 Lincoln St. Antigo, WI, 54409. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the Christian service at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Antigo. Lunch will be served at the church following the burial.
