Danny Roger Lewis

Danny Roger Lewis of Antigo passed away suddenly at home on May 9, 2026 at the age of 69.

Danny was born on April 17, 1957 in California to the late Arthur and Lorraine (Lipinskie) Lewis. He graduated from Waupaca High School, class of 1975. In 1976 he proudly enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He served as honorary cook for the captains and as a sharpshooter. He served for 2 and a half years. On April 30, 1986, he was united in marriage to Roxanne Lewis in Sterling, CO. The couple recently celebrated 40 years of marriage.

Danny worked in a variety of different industries. He was a hard worker and always provided for his family. He was known as a skilled construction worker and craftsman, having an entrepreneurial spirit. He loved being with his grandkids and taking them camping. He placed God and his family above all.

In addition to his wife Roxanne, he is survived by their children Jason (Kalli) Lewis of Iola, Korey Lewis of Antigo, Branden (JoAnna) Lewis of Antwerp, NY, Trinton (Michaela) Lewis of Antigo, and Camri Lewis of Antigo, grandchildren Braeden, Julia, Maleah, Keera, Aelita, Gregory, Avery, Joanne, Juniper, L’Amour, Archer, Everleigh, and Desmond, mother and father-in-law Bonnie and James Lewis, brothers Todd (Kathy) Lewis, Tony (Cathy) Lewis, and Scott (Jodi) Lewis, many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Danny is further survived by 64 others that he fostered and cared for over the years. He loved his large family and that it kept growing.

A funeral service for Danny will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. Visitation will take place at the funeral home prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM. Burial will take place at a later date at Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, WI.
