Darlene Bergquist

Darlene J. Bergquist died Sun. Feb. 6, 2011 at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation. She was 77 years old.She was born March 4, 1933 in Sturgeon Bay, daughter of the late Edwin P. Kummer, Sr and Marie M. (Londo) Kummer. She married William O. Bergquist, and he preceded her in death.She graduated from Manitowoc High School, and worked in the health care field. She was an extreme Packer fan. She enjoyed watching the games, and it was fun to watch the games along with her. She also liked camping, fishing, reading, visiting the casino, and watching movies. She enjoyed singing, and sang opera in her younger years.Mrs. Bergquist is survived by a daughter, Jeannie Murray of Manitowoc; 2 brothers, Edwin P. (Valetta) Kummer, Jr. of Cleveland, WI, and Karl (Joanne) Kummer of Rhinelander; 2 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, William "Billy" Bergquist.In honoring her wishes, private services will be held.
