Daryl James Zahurones

Daryl James Zahurones, age 47, of Antigo passed away Saturday at his home.

Daryl was born on November 23, 1976, a son of Frank Zahurones and Rose Basnett.

He was a graduate of Antigo High School and went onto complete culinary school. He was passionate about cooking and worked as a chef at various restaurants, most recently at Gina's Pizzeria. He had dreams of one day owning his own diner.

Daryl will be lovingly remembered for his great sense of humor, his love for his children and his deep love for Jesus.

In addition to his mother, Rose Basnett, father Frank Zahurones, step-mother Gina Zahurones, Daryl is survived by his children: Devin, Dylan and Angelina Zahurones, a grandson Sterling Zahurones, siblings; Faith (Adam) Mickelson, Angel (Gary) Jacobs, Todd Gremler, Jr, grandmother Rose Ivanoski, step grandmother Geneva Messer, his step siblings: Jami (Santiago) Sanchez, Chad (Crystal) West, Marsha (Andrew) Day. Daryl is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of Daryl's life and potluck will be held Saturday, May 11 beginning at 1:00 PM at Dells of Eau Claire Park.
