David Michael Jutrzonka of Raymond, WI, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at his White Lake residence on January 17, 2026 at the age of 70.
He is finally free from the pain caused by working hard for his entire life, though his family and friends would’ve loved more time together.
David was born on October 15, 1955 in Union Grove, WI, to the late Robert and Donna (Lindner) Jutrzonka. He graduated from Union Grove High School, class of 1973, and was united in marriage to Lori Drought on March 11, 1977 in Raymond, WI. They were high school sweethearts who spent 55 years of their lives together.
In addition to his wife, Lori, David is survived by his children, Tricia (Tim), Alison (John), and James (Alysse), and grandchildren Ben, Nick, Jake, Braydyn, Emma, Owen, and Claire—known by Dave as Stud, Smalls, Captain, The Boy, Erma, Ollie, and Smiley. He also leaves behind his five sisters, Cindy (Ron), Karen (Mark), Cheryl (Mike), Jan (Rosco), and Julie (Chris), and their families, as well as many great friends.
At age 9, David got his first job at a mink farm. Always a hard worker, David worked for Snap-On for 26 years and began a landscaping business with his dad, Robert, upon Robert’s retirement. His son, James, joined the business, and James and Dave grew it into what is now Blue Ribbon Organics today: a compost facility servicing nearly every municipality in southeastern Wisconsin. James and the crew will have a huge gap left by Dave. He brought the Farm back to life.
Dave, or Papa as his grandchildren called him, was a loving, devoted, and hilarious grandpa who had special inside jokes and shared his interests and talents with each of his grandkids. And as a friend, he never missed a party.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by dear friends Danny O’Neal, John Boy, and Timmy Drought.
The family will be hosting a celebration of life on Saturday, March 14 from 1-4 pm at the Hideaway Pub & Eatery, 9643 S. 76th St., Franklin, Wisconsin.
Join us for an informal gathering: good people, great memories, and the kind of laughter Dave would absolutely approve of. Dress casually (bibs optional), bring your favorite story or memory of Dave (no speeches, save them for conversations), and show up ready to laugh, reminisce, and swap the kind of stories that get better every time they’re told.
We’re celebrating Dave the way he’d want: relaxed, a little loud, and full of great stories.
