David Lucht

David W. Lucht of Antigo died December 18 at Langlade Hospital. He was 85 years old. Mr. Lucht was born January 7, 1924 in Antigo a son of the late William and Verna (Borneman) Lucht. He married Dorothy Dittbrender at Grace Lutheran Church in Ringle, WI on June 9, 1945. She preceded him in death on December 20, 2001. Mr. Lucht was a lifelong dairy farmer, operating the dairy farm with his family until the present time. He served as a Town of Polar Supervisor and on the Farm Bureau Board of Directors. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Polar. Mr. Lucht enjoyed his farming, horses, fishing and reading. Survivors include daughter, Gail (Terry) Kolpack, Antigo, two sons, William (Nancy) Lucht, Antigo and Daniel (Becky) Lucht, Antigo; grandchildren, Andrew (Melanie) Lucht, Antigo, Jill (husband Bill McKelvey) Lucht, Columbia, MO; step grandchildren, Kimberly (friend Chuck) Chilton, Antigo, Tracy (friend Justin) Kolpack, Antigo; great grandchildren, Gretchen, Gordon, Nolan, Evelyn Lucht and Josiah; sisters, Wilma Meyer, Antigo, Dorothy Neigenfind, Antigo and Norma (Don) Debroux, Grafton, WI. In addition to his wife he is preceded in death by parents, sister, Virginia Summ. A funeral service will be held Monday, December 21, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Polar and Rev. Donald Engebretson will officiate. Visitation will be held Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Strasser-Roller Funeral Home in Antigo and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at the church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. A memorial has been established in his name for St. Peter Lutheran Church.
