David T. Eldridge

David T. Eldridge, of White Lake, died Sun., Nov. 13 at his home under the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice. He was 88 years old. He was born Aug. 29, 1923 in Greenup County, KY, son of the late John D. and Sarah (Tipton) Eldridge. He married Elizabeth "Betty" Ably in Antigo on July 30, 1942. She survives. Until his retirement, Mr. Eldridge was employed as a millwright at RCA in Marion, IN. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He also served in the US Army. He loved the Packers, classic cars, NASCAR, traveling, working in his yard, nature, and photography. He enjoyed just being outside in the natural beauty of the Langlade County area. He attended Four Corners Assembly of God in Four Corners. Survivors, in addition to his wife Betty, include 2 daughters, Joanne Lukefahr of Antigo, and Janet Ann (Robert) Campbell of Firestone, CO; a son, David "Tom" Eldridge of Prescott, AZ; a sister, Lori (Gerald) Bohringer, of White Lake; a brother Romeo (Pearl) of Antigo; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 14 siblings; a son-in-law, Tom Lukefahr; and a daughter-in-law, Karen Eldridge. Funeral services will take place Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Four Corners Church, with Rev. Marvin Kindle officiating. Visitation will be Thursday 11:30-1:30 at the church. Interment will follow the service in Langlade Cemetery. A memorial will be established in David's name.
