Dean Carl Mikesell

Dean Carl Mikesell, 67, of Antigo (formerly of Rothschild, WI) met his lord and savior on March 28, 2023. He was born on July 14, 1955, in Wausau WI to Mike (LaVern) and June Mikesell. He married the love of his life, Robin Brandt on September 23, 2000.

Dean graduated from Wausau West High School, class of 1973. After high school, Dean worked with his father at Mike’s refrigeration. It’s there that he learned the trade of heating and cooling. Dean started his own adventure later in life, calling it Arctic Air Refrigeration in Rothschild WI.

Dean was a warrior in life. He believed in standing for what’s right, fighting for your dreams and enduring the challenges that test our faith, love, hope and more.

It was the simple things in life that Dean enjoyed the most. His family, friends and loyal furry companions as well as being up north at the cabin and fishing with his good friend Carl. You could catch Dean jammin’ to old classic country music, with a smile on his face. He could name each artist for every song, which we all thought was remarkable. Dean had an amazing relationship with his best friend and sister, Denee. They were like two peas in a pod that were blessed to have each other to lean on throughout life!

He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Robin, his son, Jasen (Jodi) Buckmaster; his daughter, Jessica (Bert) Guyant; his loving granddaughter, Jori Buckmaster; two sisters Denee (Joe) Mikesell and Debbie (Larry) Marquis; nieces Heather (Jake) Box and Trisha (Shaun) Marquis; Nephews, Andy Lang, Jimmy Dean, Minniecheske, Josh (Jo) Minniecheske, Justin (Kasey) Minniecheske, Larry (Cindy) Marquis; and many great nieces and nephews. Special friends Carl (Jill) Radtke, Neil Berman, and Wayne Jansen.

A private family celebration of Dean’s life will be held at a later date.

To my darling Robin, beautiful daughter Jessie and my loving sister and best friend Denee… “Who loves you Darlin”!
