Dean Raymond Saternus

Apr 28, 1952 — Oct 21, 2026

Dean Raymond Saternus, age 74, of Pearson passed away October 21, 2026 at Eastview Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Dean was born on April 28, 1952 in Milwaukee to the late Eugene Saturnus and the former Patricia Jakubek.

For those that may have known Dean, his daughter Lorrie put into words a little about him.

“For those of you that may have known my biological Dad Dean Saternus, he has passed away.

My Aunt Em Brogan and her husband Larry gave him a home to live in and helped try to keep him on track.

Anyone who knows him understands this was an almost impossible task.

He was a stubborn man with his own unique outlook on life and a life story that may make "Billy the Kid" do a double take.

He was employed with "Belt Line Motors" for years. He was great friends with Sam Bartus, the owner of the "Vogue dress shop", which he helped transport items through the fashion district. Guys from Cheyka Motors and "Razz" from the former "Tremors" bar and Razz's.

He would hang out at the famous "Golden Ladle" in Wausau, which he called the Greazy Spoon.

He spent many years in Chicago doing life the way he knew best.

He was a great artist. He made beautiful leather belts, purses and wallets.

People may have loved, liked, or hated my Dad, but one thing you couldn't dispute was he was highly intelligent. I used to joke that he was an evil genius.

He used to do my mom's homework when .....well when the state of Wisconsin was employing him as a "Baker". 😉 She got A's.

My Dad's life was fast, marred and unique.

Fast deals and on to the next "business" adventure.

So for anyone that remembers him. Please crack open a beer and remember his favorite sayings,

"It's like going Down Town",

"That's neither here nor there" and "Let's get tippen".

Rest in peace.

Dean is survived by a daughter Lorrie Rae (John)Hansen, 4 grandchildren Jaime (Ashley), Jake, Jenna (Bradley), Logan, 8 great grandchildren Lillian, Tristan, Violet, Jade, Micco, Neveah, Porter, Leyanie, 3 sisters Emily (Larry) Brogan, Ramona Wolf, Patty Rappa, 3 brothers Wade (Chery) Saternus, RJ Rappa, and Jon (Tammy) Beranek.
