Deborah Ann Gascon

Deborah "Deb" Ann (Shipley) Gascon, age 69, of Chicago died January 23, 2023, at Swedish Hospital in Chicago.

Deb was born September 4, 1953, in Langlade to the late Elden and Delores (Kirsch) Shipley.

She attended White Lake High School. At the age of 15 she moved to Chicago and began working as a nanny for many families. She was a wonderful cook and baker and loved to read magazines.

Deb especially enjoyed a trip to the Philippines with Jayjr.

She was united in marriage to Jayjr Gascon. The couple divorced and remained close friends.

Survivors include 3 sisters: Lavon Darling of Antigo, Delores (Larry) Wickersheim of White Lake, Linda (Randy) Roberts of White Lake, her former husband Jayjr of Chicago, sister-in-law Darlinda Shipley, brother-in-law Kenny Wheeler, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to parents, Deb was preceded in death by three sisters: Gail (Harold) Smallwood, Amarylis (Vernon) Hayes, Donna Wheeler, Loralie (James) Wallace, two brothers: Jerry and Elden Shipley.

A graveside service at Bent Cemetery will be planned in the summer. Reverend Marvin Kindle will officiate.
