Delmer Bricko of Antigo, died Sun., Jan. 18 at his home at the age of 81. He was born Oct. 26, 1927 in Eland, the son of Floyd and Anna (Nicklewski) Bricko. On Dec. 1, 1945 he married Lorraine Pommerenke, and she preceded him in death in 1998. He worked as an equipment operator at Duffek Sand and Gravel, and was a member of Operating Engineers Local #139 for 50 years. Mr. Bricko served as a Sergeant in the Army Air Corps in World War II. He participated in campaigns at Guam and Saipan. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include 2 daughters, Gloria (Robert) Andres and Cindy (Harold) Widder, both of Antigo; 3 sons, Donald (Diane), Roger (Special Friend Karn), and Terry (Michele), all of Antigo; 1 sister, Virginia "Gina" (Andy) Anderson of Eagle River; 1 brother, Jerome (Sadie) of Kentucky; 17 grandchildren; and 28 great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by 2 daughters, Mary Bricko, and Veronica Widder; 2 sisters, Shirley, and Marion; and a granddaughter, Stacie.
